c) ii) New or current trends in the use of ICTs in Hospitality and tourism industry.

As the nation is growing thinking and creativity of the people changers  in hospitality and tourism industry most things where done manually as it is a field of study, it covers the human ability to shape and change the physical world to meet needs, by manipulating materials and tools with techniques. In the food preparation area most chefs used cutting chefs knifes to cut vegatbales or decorate plate it used to waste vegatables as for more off cuts were implemented. But now that new tools were introduced  technology made things easier.
I provided a link on how a new trend is being used in the food preparation area which is the cutting machine.

Hospitality and tourism is divided into four departments front office is one of them. Front desk attends room bookings, registration of hotel guests, guest relations assistance and other related matters. In small hotels or accommodation establishments the room sales and reservations are also handled by the front office. In the early years when guest visits  different countries they  used to send letters to hotels they wish to visit for accommodation whereby at times it even took day’s to reach the destination. The receptionist used to record guest details using the manual management and organizational methods such as the traditional pen and paper approach. But now with the new Trend’s things became easy whereby guest view about the establishment they want to visit. They just call or book on line and their details are recorded electronically.
This trend is very relevant in Namibia every 5 star hotels use ICTs tool to book in guest. And as for VTCs they are doing a good job in level three 3 they introduce the innkeeper system whereby trainees are trained to book in guest.
